The traditional Shanghainese cuisine at New Shanghai is contrasted by the modern design of the restaurant, which features creations from some of Hong Kong’s most celebrated designers. The menu brings together the best of provincial Chinese cooking and all dishes, including the signature homemade noodles and dumplings, are made with the freshest ingredients using age-old methods.
With over 25 years of culinary mastery, Chef Kon coincides with the modern trend and presents “Hai Pai” delicacies in New Shanghai. With his craftsmanship, he modified traditional Shanghainese cuisine to cater for diners’ health concerns, with less oil, sweetness and seasoning. Chef Kon won gold award in “ Best of The Best Culinary Awards” for three consecutive years, which lead New Shanghai to become the only Shanghainese restaurant to win the gold award for three consecutive years.
New Shanghai is offering an array of beef and mutton delicacies including Stir-fried Diced Kobe Beef with Assorted Peppers, Sliced Beef with Sesame and Steamed Mutton Bun which are definitely favourites in winter.
